When Telematics technology reached the consumer market it became possible to track a driver’s performance using their Smartphone. Confused.com needed to get a new product to market so that their customers could record how well they drive and benefit from discounted insurance premiums.
The product’s functionality was engineered by another team, and we were responsible for Designing the interface and branding the app to match in with existing touch-points. Driving is an everyday occurrence for most people, so the the interface needed to be enjoyable to use and make it simple to record a journey.
